Product providers, we may recommend

  • Investments:
    we can access the broader market place for suitable solutions for you.

  • Insurances:
    We need to have agreements and can provide solutions from AIA, CHUBB Life, nib and Asteron Life.


Our Fees:

The actual fee charged to you will depend on the nature and scope of the advice or services.

  • We offer the first discovery meeting at our cost, meaning this is free of any fees or obligation on your part.

  • We will discuss and agree any future fees before we commence further work on your behalf.

  • Our agreed advice and on-going service fees will be fully and clearly disclosed.

The following are examples of fees that may apply:

Planning and strategy fee ranging from $1,500 to $3,500 plus GST
On-going investment and monitoring fees of 1% plus GST p.a.
Hourly rate for special projects of simplified advice $200 plus GST
Specific fees to you will be confirmed in the Statement of Advice

There may be other costs that could be incurred in providing our advice, such as travel, meeting with legal and accounting advisers, disbursements, etc. However, any additional charges made to you would be mutually agreed in writing before there being any commitment on your part.

KiwiSaver and Insurance services providers may pay commissions to Taimana Wealth in the following formats:

Initial Commission: There may be an initial commission paid at the time of the first contribution or insurance premium. 

Ongoing commission: this is usually paid as a servicing fee from the insurance premium, or as a percentage of the funds held in a KiwiSaver as part of the management fee.

These fees, or commissions, will be fully disclosed to you.


Arrangements to manage conflicts of interest:

We prioritise your interests above our own, with our advice being based on our understanding of your intentions and the use of evidence and research based solutions. 

We manage any conflicts of interest in relation to the remuneration received by the company by making an upfront, full disclosure of the fees and remuneration to you before you make any decision about proceeding with the recommendations made via the Statement of Advice.In addition, we use appropriate product research provided by independent research agencies such as MyFiduciary, Farrellys and Morningstar for investment products and QuoteMonster for insurance products to ensure that the products recommended are suitable for your needs and we are not influenced by the commission or remuneration associated with them.


Duties of Information:

We are bound by the duties of the Financial Markets Conduct Act to:

  • Meet the standards of competence, knowledge and skill as set out in the Code of Conduct

  • Give priority to your interests and exercise care, diligence and skill

  • Meet the standards of ethical behaviour, conduct, and client care, as set out in the Code of Conduct.
