STEPHEN FITZJOHN
Managing Director, PGDip Personal Financial Planning, AFA, AFP, Member of FInancial Advice NZ
Some people only start investing when they are planning for retirement – but Stephen started young, saving earnings from mowing lawns and cleaning a bakery whilst still at school in England, and having a plan to be financial free at age 55.
On leaving school, Stephen moved into retail management, but was soon head-hunted by an existing client, as a result of his can-do attitude and going the extra mile. In 1983, Stephen became a financial adviser to combine his desire to help others with his decision-making skills and financial experience.
HAYLEY ROBERTSON
Financial Adviser, AFA, Bachelor of Applied Economics
Since Hayley was 15 years old, she has had a passion for Economics and Finance. Hayley was always interested in investing into the share market. She has now turned it in to a job where she can assist people to make their money work better for them. She enjoys providing financial security, removing the what if’s, how to and of course the stress in achieving financial goals big and small.
This job allows Hayley to geek out researching investment options, build tools to help clients understand where they are and how to get there. From her passion for Economics she went to complete a bachelor of applied economics through extramural studies at Massey University.
TONY VINCENT
Investment Adviser, AFA
With nearly three decades in the financial industry, Tony is truly an expert in his field. With an original aim of becoming an accountant, while studying at Wellington Polytechnic, he worked for the Education Department in their Finance Division, learning about internal audit, financial analysis, operations, and budgetary controls – skills he still uses today to evaluate the efficiency of companies.
In the late 80s and early 90s, Tony spent over a decade with National Mutual (later AXA) Funds Management, first in office administration and then as their Equities Dealer. There, he learnt all about funds management and the importance of asset allocation, diversification and security selection, as well as the need to research data thoroughly.
